Inking pages was a monthly magazine published by the ‘The Climber’. Centred entirely around the students it was a way to spark their curiosity by being a platform for them to be creative and share their talent with the world.
The Outcome /

Inking pages was a magazine that was completely sourced from students between the ages of 12 to 20. It was a platform for students to express their creativity and curiosity.  The content of the magazine aims to open up a diverse array of topics that will make the students more curious, cognisant and creative. Students could send in articles, illustrations, puzzles, reviews etc on several topics like art, career, food, general knowledge, current affairs, lifestyle , history, science, poetry, economics, trends, sports, photography, music, movies etc.

Since it was a bootstrapped magazine by a bunch of 20 somethings, it had budget limitations which posed interesting challenges with regards to colours and paper while printing. The design team came up with unique solutions to tackle those challenges like the "Poster Issue". Four A2 sized posters were sent out in place of the usual magazine, with the articles printed on the back of the posters.

The dot on 'i' in the masthead changes according to the theme of every issue. This way the masthead is
dynamic and fun without compensating on the recall value.

A 12-column grid was used to make the magazine look dynamic and alive.
